Odalchyk Olha – freelance artist – painter

1961 – Born in Novokuznetsk (Western Siberia, Russia)
1982 – Graduated from Novosibirsk art school (department of pictorial art).
At present moment she lives in c. Kyiv, Ukraine.

Odalchyk Olha is one of famous representatives of modern Ukrainian school of pictorial art.

During her whole creative activity the master developed the skill to work in different genres and directions of pictorial art.
The landscapes of picturesque Ukraine have brought the real glory and acknowledgment to the artist.
Olha in her creativity prefers the classical realism, has the rarest gift to depict the realistic, powerful front ground on the canvas that is always unique and distinguishes her unrepeated creativity.
The comprehensive creative work of Olha Odalchyk is one of outstanding events in Ukrainian culture.

She was awarded with letters of gratitude by President of Ukraine, Head of Constitution Court of Ukraine and Ambassador of Ukraine in Russian Federation for creative contribution into development of culture in Ukraine.
In 2008 she was awarded with the certificate of merit and medal “For merits to Ukrainian people”.

Drawing is my passion.
I consciously prefer the landscape painting. Many things in the nature are so familiar but you always discover something new for yourself.
Realism is the sincerity and honesty. There is the moment of delight with the wild life, which you would like to depict on the canvas.
A spectator likes admiring the usual, familiar things. The truthful reproduction of nature conditions is always comprehensive. The colorful wealth of paints during different period of day and year wins over.
The nature is not dull, it can be different as a woman, sensitive, fascinating or cold but glamorous. No indifference can be.
The ability to be surprised and admired makes me paint and paint.
I am as if a hunter for new emotions, from seen things I have to look for the new and new landscapes. It covers. Being in the nature always delights me and I leave my new impressions on the canvas.
I would not like to yield to changeable modern trends in the art.
It is important to remain yourself, what is close to you. To see a life event in constant reality but not in the imagined world. To paint what has stung you to the quick, from what you cannot withdraw your eyes. I would like to share the seen things with you.

I applied for green card as an extraordinary personality through advocate as an artist.
My presence in America was needed to execute the process.
I had to cease the process for execution of green card due to disease of my husband.
My husband became blind and had the amputation of the leg (severe form of diabetes mellitus).
I have the only son.
My son has submitted the case for political asylum in c. Chicago.
We are very close and love each other.
My son is everything what I have, the light and valuable thing in my life.
I would like to see my son, to be near him, to support him.
I have no intentions to remain in America as my duty is to be near my ill husband in Ukraine.
My advocate states I have not infringed the law with my staying in America before.
For pity's sake, please, meet my needs and permit me to stay with my son for a while.
